Book Reviews

In this new section of the Reportage web site we feature a selection of photography related books that we think are worth reading and come with our own personal recommendations. Some of the books included may have been around for a while, others will be fresh of the press but if they are on this page then you can be sure that we consider them well worth having on your bookshelf.

VISION MONGERS – (David duChemin)

Another great book by David duChemin, looking into what it takes to make it as a professional photographer from a pure business perspective. Highly recommended.

WITHIN THE FRAME – (David duChemin)

Within the Frame

Finally a photography book that delves deeper into what makes a great image rather than concentrating on gear and camera settings. A must read for anyone wanting to take their photography to the next level or for anyone wanting to understand better what the photographer is thinking when he hits the shutter.
Be sure to also check out David’s web site which features a number of eBooks which can be downloaded and are also well worth a read. (http://www.pixelatedimage.com)

SPIRIT OF PLACE: THE ART OF THE TRAVELLING PHOTOGRAPHER – (Bob Krist)

Spirit of Place

Not a new book but still well worth a read. Some great insights into what makes great travel photographs and how to capture the things that may otherwise be missed.
