Mark Taylor
Mark has worked as an Assistant Director on Film and Television productions for many years. This is mainly a logistical and organisational job, so in an attempt to pursue a creative career he has moved into commercial photography and photojournalism.
He has been working professionally since the start of this year and regularly covers live music events, shoots for a stock agency and builds his fashion / commercial portfolio. Mark’s workflow is primarily digital although a new found hobby is to wander the streets of London with an old Hasselblad 500cm and shoot rolls of 120, partly for fun and partly as an attempt to make his digital photography more disciplined and to become less reliant on metering and the ability to delete instantly!

What’s in the bag?
I shoot with Nikon Digital SLR’s, primarily the D3x and the D700. I use the 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200, which pretty much covers all options. I also carry an SB-900 speedilite, which doesn’t get much use! I wouldn’t necessarily take all of that out at once, it would depend on the nature of the project. I do most post processing in Aperture and occasionally Photoshop CS4 if any serious work is required.
